A Billiard cue, Fun & Games System Walking Cane. France, circa 1880
The hammered metal handle is 4 cm high and 3 cm in diameter and it unscrews, there are one element made of wood, ivory, horn and felt ready to be fitted into the wooden shaft. The weight of the ferrule has been carefully determined to give a perfect balance to the cue when placed in the handle. There are a bimetal ferrule all four elements are original. The OL is 89 cm and the condition is very good. A very close example is shown on page 166 of C. Dike’s Cane Curiosa. It is a very fine example of the type.
