Classic hard-stone Art Nouveau Walking stick. France, ca. 1900

Semi-precious stones and gems have long been known for their magic and beauty. The beauty and uniqueness of crystals and other stones have long been recognized for their mystic influence on our day-to-day lives. Historically, people used them for trade and jewellery and, even in modern times, we use them to create new and wondrous technologies. They are the product of natural energy derived from cosmic and geological forces including stars. 

This Elegant handle is conceived with a beautiful Iranian agate which exhibits a beautiful brick-red tone interspersed with ocher shades, it is supported by a metal cage made up of models from this period, it measures 3,5 cm high x 3 cm at its widest. It is on top of a sound exotic wood shaft almost in the same shadows of the stone, and finishing with a horn tip. The O.L. is 89 cm, it shows only a few signs of it has been used, and the condition is excellent. It is still a very wearable cane.
